Sing with G!

 

I was born in Sweden and did my uni studies in Gothenburg graduating in 1992 with a Master of Fine Arts in Music Education with a focus on Singing and Conducting.

Since those days I have been teaching music and singing, conducting choirs and directing shows in Sweden, India, and the United Arab Emirates before setting my feet on Australian soil.

I came to Hervey Bay in 2004 and fell in love with this area.

For some time now I have also studied Estill Voice Training which gives me a broader knowledge about how the voice functions anatomically and I am pleased that I can share this knowledge with my students.

A few years ago, after teaching music and singing in various schools I finally took the step and opened my own singing studio.

This is a dream come true for me! I am happy to say that the studio keeps growing and I am privileged to be able to teach so many singers how to grow and expand their knowledge. 

In my studio, I work in groups and individually with my students. Ages at the moment 6-70 years old!

When writing this I have 74 active students!

My younger students form two ensembles, Primary Stars and Aurora.

I organise at least 2 concerts per year at the ZPAC theatre in Hervey Bay and my students enter the local Eisteddfod and some do exams in singing.

The students have access to my in-house accompanist, Kyle Downes, who is an excellent pianist.
